    So, I've been avoiding the buses while covid regulations were a lot stricter.. but I still have a 20 ride punch pass (that's only been used 3 times) from just before covid hit.. can I still use that or be compensated if i can't?

    When being taught how to scan my transfer, I had asked if I should throw it out after scanning, and they said I could if I don't need it anymore, Does that mean they can be used more than once?

    • @city-ville-moncton
      @city-ville-moncton 3 года назад

      Hi there- they can be used again within 90 minutes. For instance, if someone needs to transfer onto more than two routes, they can use the same transfer. The slips are valid for 90 minutes after being issued (but cannot be used more than once within the same 10-minute time frame) in order to allow for transfers across the network.

    Setback it slows the process because people with passes usually just show your pass then sit, now your have to scan it

    • @city-ville-moncton
      @city-ville-moncton 3 года назад

      Hi Shaun- thank you for the feedback. These fareboxes, through the scanning, will provide important data to Codiac Transpo to better plan future routes. Data such as most frequent bus stops, routes, transfer points, etc. are all helpful for route planning and will be available data through the scanning of cards.

    I havn't seen nor heard of what types of support to local artists will be in this project,will this stage support theatrical,if not ,well that would be a major mistake.We as people of moncton,wish to incorporate into anything new to moncton an outward showing of support to our local artists.Visual and performing arts seem to be taking a backseat to the whole idea of sports as entertainment,by what i've heard up until now,could we have some further commentary on live theatre events,and music,and visual arts throughout the structure being built,thank-you.Heather.I'm also wondering what jobs this events place will bring and what jobs are available,or where to find out what jobs are available.thanks .

    It’s brilliant.. just brilliant!! WOW! Did you see all those new parking spaces? What’s that? Oh you mean there aren’t any new parking spaces? Oh, well then there must be some sort of underground / multi-storey parking included in this 91.4-million downtown centre right? Oh there isn’t? No underground / multi-storey parking included you say? Oh I know, you’re going to have one of those cool Japanese Parkmatic fully robotic automatic and mechanical parking systems.. that would mean Moncton would be the first city in Canada to have one. They already have them in Australia, Costa Rica, Egypt Ghana, UK, and Ireland and of courses the United States. Oh! No Parkmatic system either? Ok, then I supposes we can just park in Riverview and walk, hike or jog over. It shouldn’t be a big deal even though 7 months of the year most of our days are cold, windy, raining, snowing or all four. That’ll be especially easy with family in tow. Does City Hall still plan on having that shuttle service that they are keeping a secret from the public because it’s going to be an additional cost and don’t want to tell the public just yet. Or maybe you figured you’d just let the newly elected city council (to be elected in May) deal with it. Because those that have pushed this new downtown center will all be retired or gone before the real costs are tallied so there will never be any accountability. You know, I wonder if the same situation that happened in Laval with the “Place Bell” arena a couple of years ago will happen in Moncton. - Previous Mayor announce new 10k arena at cost of 92.6 million. - A year later he said that the cost will mostly be around 150 millions - The following year, new Mayor comes in and announce that the cost will double (200 millions in 2014) www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/laval-s-place-bell-arena-to-cost-50m-more-in-overruns-1.2577305 "'But Dubé says that funding model is all locked in now the funding is all in place. We're working against a model that will show that the net cost to the taxpayer is a debt of ABOUT $39 million" ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- so the Federal and Provincial portion doesn't come from taxpayers but the fairy godmother??? Stupidity has no limits. Moncton's financial mismanagement

    We seriously need to move forward with this project and place the right people into the right positions.First off,9,000 seats is far below what we need,we need double that.We are going way back in time with those numbers.I remember seeing Loverboy at the Coliseum in the mid 80's and there were 12,000 people there then.We are now in competition with Bangor,they are getting some incredible acts,why?They are not afraid to invest in a proper venue,and in the proper bands and acts.COM really needs to update their staff in regards to concerts and live performances.So many promoters refuse to work with current staff.The new stadium could have been paid off a long time ago.With the right staff this new Downtown Center will be very successful.

  • @robertfinck1275
    @robertfinck1275 10 лет назад

    I hope they remember that unless they make seating for 15,000 to 20,000 people in the concert area they will not be in any position to get good concerts or current concerts,it would be a step back in time to the 1980's

    Bike paths is the future! With gas prices not going down soon enough, I believe daily commutes on bicycles is the way of the future. We will hopefully start seeing more people getting back to this and in turn get more kids involved; we need to become more active!
